Team Overview
The Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems Project Management team at Wabtec is recognized as a leader in the successful execution of intricate integrated system projects. These projects encompass signaling, train control, communications, and back-office solutions, with a strong emphasis on project execution, management, adherence to schedules, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Your Impact
As a Senior Signaling Engineer at Wabtec, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our customers' experiences. Your responsibilities will include engineering rail signaling systems, which involve circuit designs and vital logic programming. This position necessitates collaboration with customer specifications, railroad standards, and FRA regulations.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- 5-8 years of experience in signaling preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
In this role, you will engage in the design of wayside/crossing systems and vital logic controller (VLC) programming. You will also be responsible for wayside interface unit (WIU) programming and will collaborate with managers and project leads to review project scopes. Participation in project reviews with customers and project leads will be a key aspect of your role.
You will utilize CADD programs, including Microstation and AutoCAD, to manage and organize files within a document control system, ensuring proper versioning controls. Reviewing deliverables for accuracy and compliance with quality system requirements will also be part of your responsibilities.
