Primary Objective
The role involves delivering nutrition services within the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Supplemental Nutrition Program aimed at enhancing the health of residents in the Bloomington, Edina, and Richfield communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute nutrition programs in accordance with WIC standards.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate nutrition knowledge across Public Health initiatives.
- Conduct nutrition assessments and provide counseling to individuals and families.
- Prepare detailed reports on service delivery.
- Stay updated with nutrition trends to inform program improvements.
- Participate in the development and assessment of nutrition-related agency operations.
- Foster partnerships to coordinate services internally and externally.
- Act as a representative of the City in collaborations with various stakeholders.
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation of client interactions.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Engage in public health emergency response as required.
- Promote a positive work culture and effective communication.
- Resolve conflicts to maintain an inclusive workplace.
- Understand and address the impacts of structural racism in service delivery.

- Advanced degree or certification in nutrition or dietetics.
- Experience in community nutrition programs.
- Familiarity with electronic health records.
- Proficiency in a second language relevant to the community.
- Maintain licensure as a Registered Dietitian in Minnesota.
- Ability to travel to various sites for service delivery.
