Job Title: Registered Dietitian - Eating Disorders Specialist

Center For Discovery is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our team at our residential eating disorder treatment program in Mclean, VA.

Job Summary:

The Registered Dietitian will be responsible for overseeing the dietary component in tandem with the Center For Discovery Clinical Model. This includes meeting with patients weekly to implement and manage individualized dietary meal plans, conducting dietary intake on admission, and completing documentation on each client's progress throughout the treatment experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized dietary meal plans for patients
  • Conduct dietary intake assessments and provide recommendations for patients
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure the best standard of nutrition and dietary services are occurring
  • Facilitate nutrition groups and provide education to patients and their families
  • Communicate with referring and/or outpatient treatment teams throughout patients' treatment episode
  • Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree with appropriate emphasis and completed accredited dietetic internship
  • Preferred one year experience in dietary counseling
  • Must be fully registered/certified in the appropriate state
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of nutrition and dietary interventions in the mental health field
