Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Key Holder to join our team at JOANN Stores. As a Key Holder, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales, and leading the sales floor team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Experience
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every customer feels valued and inspired.
    • Use the F.A.S.T. service model to meet customer needs and exceed expectations.
    • Engage with customers, asking open-ended questions to understand their project needs and providing personalized recommendations.
  • Sales and Merchandising
    • Process customer transactions efficiently and accurately, maintaining a high level of professionalism and precision.
    • Stock shelves accurately, maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail.
    • Participate in store activities, such as Education Classes and Custom Framing, to drive sales and build customer relationships.
  • Leadership and Teamwork
    • Assist the Store Management team in leading the sales floor team, observing, and coaching team members.
    • Collaborate with team members and store management on projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
    • Act as MOD (Manager on Duty) when no member of store management is present, ensuring seamless store operations.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Stand for extended periods, continuously walking around the store.
    • Read written instructions, reports, and other information on paper and computer screens.
    • Orally communicate with customers and team members on a consistent basis.
    • Input data on computer keyboards and handheld units.
    • Use 2-way radios, hearing incoming messages and providing verbal responses.
    • Push/pull merchandise with equipment, lift, place, and arrange items on shelves and racks.
    • Bend down and reach above head, climb and descend ladders.
    • Lift up to 49 pounds individually and 97 pounds in group lifts.
    Requirements
    • Must be 18 years or older.
    • Part-time status requires open availability, working less than an average of 28 hours per week.
    • Full-time status requires open availability, working at least an average of 36 hours per week.
    • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
    • Experience: 1+ years of supervisory experience in a customer-centric environment.
