Job Overview

Ace Controls, a subsidiary of Stabilus, is a prominent player in the realm of industrial damping technology, renowned for its innovative solutions in gas springs and dampers. We are currently in search of a skilled CNC Machining Specialist to enhance our production team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the precision and quality of our industrial shock absorbers through various machining operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret job specifications to ascertain necessary machine adjustments and material needs.
  • Set up, modify, and fine-tune CNC equipment and programs to meet production standards.
  • Operate machinery using control mechanisms, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Monitor machine operations to identify defects in workpieces or equipment malfunctions.
  • Conduct deburring processes on machined components to ensure quality finishes.
  • Document quality control data and maintain production records accurately.
  • Utilize measuring instruments such as micrometers and gages to assess product quality.
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout all operations performed.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization in the work environment.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in CNC machining.
  • Proficiency with Fanuc controls is essential.
  • Ability to read and write basic instructions and documentation.
  • Familiarity with G&M codes and the capability to write G-code programs is required.
  • Competence in performing mathematical calculations and analyzing results to recommend corrective actions.
  • Ability to follow instructions provided in various formats, including written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify calibration issues in machinery.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to stand, use hands and fingers to operate tools and controls, and reach with arms.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment:

  • Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and various industrial fluids.
