Assessment and Analysis:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments within the community or home settings to identify the assistive technology requirements of program participants.
- Document findings and ensure follow-up on assessments and training initiatives.
- Recommend suitable assistive technology devices, software, and applications tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues and community stakeholders to innovate and enhance assistive technology services.
Implementation and Education:
- Facilitate the seamless integration of assistive technology into the daily lives of individuals supported by CCARC, Inc.
- Provide training and ongoing support to individuals, staff, and families regarding the effective use of assistive technology tools.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work alongside service teams at CCARC, Inc. to identify internal needs for assistive technology assessments.
- Engage in agency and team meetings to evaluate assistive technology requirements.
- Collaborate with Program Managers and Direct Support Professionals to create and implement individualized plans incorporating assistive technology.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Analyze and report on data to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for organizational improvement.
- Assess the effectiveness of assistive technology solutions and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain an inventory of assistive technology devices, ensuring they are operational.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Keep accurate records of assessments, recommendations, and implementation strategies.
- Prepare reports detailing the utilization and effectiveness of assistive technology within the organization.
Regulatory Knowledge:
- Stay informed about federal and state regulations concerning assistive technology and services for adults with disabilities.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant laws and organizational policies.
Professional Development:
- Stay updated on current technology trends and recommend necessary upgrades.
- Engage in continuous education to maintain expertise in the field.
Essential Skills:
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
- Experience working effectively with diverse populations in a team environment.
- Proficient in using and training others on various assistive technology devices and software.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks independently.
Technical Proficiency:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Engineering, Assistive Technology, Special Education, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
