Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team at Arthur G Russell Co.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented engineer to work on designing and implementing advanced control systems for world-class industrial machinery. As an Industrial Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for creating innovative solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop control systems for complex industrial equipment
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Create Bills of Material and oversee project deployment
  • Collaborate with designers, draftspersons, and technicians to deliver high-quality results
  • Develop automation system programs using PLC, HMI, robotics, and other technologies
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including AGR and customer project teams
  • Ensure compliance with AGR Quality System and ISO procedures
  • Apply Lean principles to optimize processes and improve productivity

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in electrical systems, computer programming, and automation technology. You should also possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Robotics system design, programming, and implementation
  • Pneumatic systems design and implementation
  • Overall control system hardware design, specification, and implementation
  • Rockwell Automation PLC and motion control platforms
  • IT and OT networking
  • SQL-based plant floor data gathering systems
  • Industry 4.0/Smart Manufacturing principles
  • CAD drawing experience using AutoCAD Electrical and/or SolidWorks Electrical

Education and Experience:

A bachelor's degree is required, and 7-10+ years of experience as a Controls Engineer is preferred. While a degree is preferred, we may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience or who have extensive related professional experience.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
