Lincoln Electric is seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our Global Service Team in Scheifling, Austria. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and technical support to our clients in the Southeast region.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive service tasks on our advanced robotic assembly and welding systems, including robot calibrations, software updates, and general troubleshooting.
- Educate customers on the efficient use of our equipment, providing clear operational guidance and support.
- Diagnose customer problems and identify immediate fixes for machine shutdowns.
- Partner with clients to propose longer-term improvements and collaborate with our Engineering team in Austria.
- Install aftermarket parts and products sold as upgrades or retrofits to existing clients.
- Identify spare parts demand and leverage it through our back-office team.
- Provide service reports with value propositions and recommendations for customers.
- Build and maintain stable relationships with customers at both managerial and operator levels to promote our premium equipment and automation solutions.
- Travel domestically and internationally (75% of the year) to provide on-site support and training.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years' experience in installation/servicing of high-value industrial machinery.
- Strong software, electrical, and mechanical skillset, with knowledge of robotic welding equipment.
- Ability to work flexible hours around a changing schedule.
- Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal, and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Commitment to travel 75% of the year throughout North America (US, Canada, Mexico).
- Good communication skills and a strong service mindset when dealing with customers.
- Fluent English (written and verbal).
- Current and valid US driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Technical certifications in an engineering field, ideally in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
- Fluent in Spanish, French, or any other language.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration, airborne particles, and machine lubricants and chemicals used in cleaning processes. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The employee will frequently be required to grip and operate hand tools with a minimum of 50 in/lbs of force. The employee will frequently be required to see fine components and possess manual dexterity to properly place and solder these components.
