Job Summary

The Clinical Liaison will play a crucial role in assessing, coordinating, and collaborating with families served by the Department of Community Based Services (DCBS) who are impacted by substance use disorder (SUD). This position requires a strong understanding of addiction recovery services and the ability to work effectively with DCBS, treatment providers, and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a lead clinical consultant to DCBS in cases identified to feature parental addiction
  • Provide assessments and recommendations for care
  • Make direct linkages to treatment, participating in prevention planning, attending court appearances, family team meetings, and coordinating case management with treatment provider and DCBS worker/supervisor
  • Help manage and support the documentation needs of insurance pre-authorizations and re-authorizations
  • Work closely with program and agency leadership to monitor intake procedures and ensure on-demand access to quality, licensed treatment providers
  • Collaborate effectively with referral sources and community partners
  • Participate in regular staff meetings with addiction recovery and behavioral health services to identify current needs and ensure synchronized service delivery for families
  • Perform quality improvement duties as assigned by supervision and the PQI committee
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work or a related field and accompanying certification (CSW, MFT, LCPA) with a preference given to an LCSW, LPCC, and/or CADC with an addiction focus. A minimum of two years of experience working with persons affected by behavioral health and substance use issues is required. The ability to provide clinical services, communicate effectively, and work with KY Medicaid is essential.
