Job Title: Contracts Analyst

Job Summary:

This role is responsible for reviewing customer contracts to identify potential areas of legal and profitability exposure, risk mitigation, liability containment, and to avoid future disputes.

The Contracts Analyst will analyze contractual risk for various types of agreements, summarize technical contract analysis for project teams, and draft amendments and provide historical research on previously approved customer contract changes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of state and federal contract laws, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to analyze a high-volume of contract terms and conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze contractual risk for various types of agreements, including subcontract, PO/service, prime, credit application, property lease, equipment indemnity, non-disclosure, bid proposal, equipment rental, and insurance wrap-up manual.
  • Summarize technical contract analysis for project teams, including drafting alternative contract clauses, explaining potential impact, citing relevant state statutes, and cross-referencing similar agreements.
  • Draft amendments and provide historical research on previously approved customer contract changes.
  • Analyze revised draft contracts, check for discrepancies between final draft negotiated and received agreements.
  • Maintain database and track progress of all reviewed contracts.
  • Stay current with legislative changes related to contracts.
  • Coordinate with and support the Bergelectric project teams to ensure a successful contract execution process.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding contract execution and modifications, and provide support to explain terms and conditions to appropriate parties.
  • Review lien releases and waivers.
  • Serve as a resource for questions on legal language and associated ramifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business and/or contracts management related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 years analyzing contractual risk in construction contracts.
  • Minimum of 2 years drafting contract language.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of analyzing a high-volume of contract terms and conditions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel and database management and record keeping.

Working Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.

Salary Range:

USD $90,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr.
