Maintenance Technician

Job Summary:
This role is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the property under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and Director of Facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing all maintenance service requests, performing basic plumbing, electrical maintenance and repair, and routine maintenance and repair on a timely basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
- Perform various types of electrical maintenance and repair.
- Perform a variety of routine maintenance and repair on a timely basis.
- Work within expense limits established.
- Maintain inventory controls for cost-effective operations.
- Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned.
- Carry pager/cell phone as required for on-call maintenance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Any additional certifications/trainings adherent to position preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in facilities maintenance preferred.
- Must protect and handle sensitive and confidential material and situations.
- Must identify and resolve problems in a timely manner while gathering and analyzing information skillfully.
- Must provide strong customer service.
- Must prioritize and plan work activities effectively, using time efficiently.
- Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, monitoring own work to ensure quality and applying feedback to improve performance.
- Must adapt to changes in work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Working Conditions:
This position requires some outdoor work in various environmental conditions (i.e. heat, cold, rain, etc.). The individual must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift/carry 50-75 pounds, and perform stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching. Climbing and balancing are also required.
