Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at Crowne Plaza Baton Rouge. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of banquets and events, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of banquet staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the setup and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring that all details are executed to perfection.
  • Lead a team of banquet staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and a seamless event experience.
  • Collaborate with the Banquet Manager to plan and execute events, including menu planning, staffing, and logistics.
  • Ensure that all banquet events are executed in accordance with hotel standards and procedures.
  • Manage banquet staff schedules, including break and work schedules, to ensure adequate staffing for events.
  • Conduct regular inspections of banquet areas to ensure that they are clean, organized, and ready for events.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospitality role, preferably in a banquet or food service capacity.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education degree in hospitality or hospitality management preferred.
