Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team in Orlando, Florida. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing projects from start to finish, coordinating with clients, project managers, electrical team members, architects, and other engineering disciplines. You will also be responsible for developing construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, and performing RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigation, and overall construction administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed designs and coordinate with team members to ensure project success
  • Prepare construction documents using BIM/CADD platforms
  • Edit and prepare design specifications
  • Perform QA/QC review of construction documents and technical reports
  • Select equipment using vendor software and communicate with sales representatives
  • Perform load calculations
  • Attend design meetings with other team members
  • Provide construction administration services throughout all phases of construction
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • PE License
  • Experience in designing lighting and electrical systems for various types of buildings, including water/wastewater, healthcare, laboratory facilities, federal, utility, mission critical, and commercial office facilities
  • Strong communication skills, self-motivated, and organized
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED
  • BIM/Revit experience
