Electrical Engineer II Job Description

The University of Central Florida is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer II to join our team in the Facilities - Utilities and Energy Services department. As an Electrical Engineer II, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems on campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of electrical system designs and plans
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to identify electrical system issues and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with facilities leadership and staff to develop and implement energy-efficient solutions
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project managers and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain electrical system documentation and records

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, including design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
