Job Summary

Kiddie Academy of College Station is seeking a dedicated and caring individual to join our team as a Part-time Support Teacher/Teacher Aid. This role requires a positive attitude, creativity, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with children ranging from 6-weeks through school age.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing and implementing proprietary curriculum, and complete assessments and reports for the children daily
  • Supervise children during all activities and ensure their safety and well-being
  • Communicate with parents and/or guardians during pick-up and drop-off hours, and provide updates on their child's progress
  • Counsel children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise, and provide support and guidance as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment in the classroom, and ensure that the appearance of the classroom is appropriate
  • Assist with meal times and clean-up, and help with daily tasks such as paperwork and attendance reports
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as requested
Qualifications
  • Must meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position
  • Must be able to adapt to teaching in any of the Academy classrooms
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age, or be in a high school work study program relating to the area of child care
  • Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Must be able to interact appropriately with students of all ages and skill levels, as well as with parents, coworkers, and management
  • Must be able to lift no less than 40 pounds on a consistent basis throughout the workday to at least waist high
