Job Summary:

The Director of Finance is a key leadership position responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and direction to the Naperville Park District. This role oversees the development and implementation of the district's financial plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the district's annual budget, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Provide financial analysis and guidance to district officials and departments, ensuring informed decision-making.
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, ensuring effective financial management and control.
  • Manage the district's debt and bond issuance, ensuring efficient use of borrowed monies.
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to the Park Board and other stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of administrative or supervisory experience in public sector accounting.
  • Valid driver's license.

Working Conditions:
  • Subject to office environmental conditions.
  • Ability to travel to and work at all Naperville Park District facilities.
  • Subject to modified/flexible work schedules.
