Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee, evaluate, and execute all quality programs and systems to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to all manufacturing and product standards set by the company.
  • Enhance customer satisfaction through a focus on customer needs, corrective and preventive measures, advanced product quality planning (APQP), and ongoing improvement initiatives.
  • Concentrate on minimizing scrap and rework rates.
  • Employ statistical methodologies and CAD/product schematics for troubleshooting and ongoing enhancements in a lean manufacturing setting.
  • Propel the execution of containment strategies, corrective actions, preventive measures, and follow-up tasks.
  • Analyze product specifications to recommend plant capabilities and enhance quality assurance/control and process efficiency as required.
  • Advocate for source inspection principles among key personnel within the organization.
  • Develop a cost-efficient quality management framework that mitigates quality risks to clients, enhances product dependability, and reduces expenses.
  • Utilize total quality management tools and techniques for analytical and reporting functions across departments.
  • Supervise personnel involved in inspection and testing processes to ensure consistent oversight of materials and products.
  • Support the Purchasing Department in Supplier Quality Assurance and provide input/criteria for supplier selection and PPAP processes.
  • Advance and refine ISO initiatives.
  • Facilitate quality control training programs for key staff in collaboration with plant management to uphold the plant's quality objectives, ensuring they meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Address customer grievances by leading containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and resolution follow-ups with clients.
  • Engage in or lead daily Quality Wall meetings.
  • Ensure that quality expectations are effectively communicated in standard operating procedures.
  • Metrics - convey performance outcomes to the team.
  • Proficient in SPC, Capability Studies, Gage R&R, and Sampling plans.
  • Familiar with PFMEA.
  • Oversee PPAP and quality process evaluations for product launches, cost reduction, quality enhancement, and efficiency improvement initiatives.
  • Educational Requirement - bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, with a preference for an Industrial degree.
