Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Collaborate with the kitchen team to execute the preparation of menu items, focusing primarily on our signature wood-fired rotisserie chicken. This includes marinating, seasoning, and ensuring that the chicken is ready for slow-roasting to perfection.
  • Ingredient Readiness: Assist in prepping all necessary ingredients and components, such as chopping vegetables, preparing side dishes, and mixing marinades, in accordance with Cowboy Chicken's strict quality and portion control standards.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels of prepared items, promptly notifying the kitchen manager of any shortages or additional needs.
  • Food Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene protocols during all preparation tasks, ensuring that all food items are handled, stored, and cooked safely and hygienically.
  • Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including food stations, storage areas, and equipment, while following proper sanitation practices to ensure a hygienic environment.
  • Support during Service: Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during peak service hours to ensure a smooth flow of food preparation and timely delivery to guests.

  • Compliance: Comply with all health and safety regulations, as well as Cowboy Chicken's policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Previous experience as a culinary preparation specialist or in a similar food preparation role is advantageous, but we welcome individuals with a passion for the culinary arts.
  • Knowledge of food safety and proper kitchen sanitation practices is highly desirable.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
