Job DescriptionOccupational Therapist Role in Home Health
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering interventions aimed at improving the patient's overall wellbeing.
- Provide services defined by state laws governing occupational therapy practice, in accordance with the plan of care, and in coordination with other healthcare team members.
- Lead patients in therapeutic activities to enhance functioning and safety.
- Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment and changes in condition.
- Instruct patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare teams in areas of therapy where they can participate in assisting the patient.
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:
- A strong ability to work with individuals of all ages.
- An Occupational Therapist license and registration from the relevant state.
- Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapist program.
- Bilingual skills are highly valued but not required.
