Job Summary

The Hinds County Human Resource Agency (HCHRA) is seeking a skilled Graphic Reproduction Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for receiving written materials and electronic files for printing and duplication, advising administrative superiors on machine and equipment adaptability, and operating a variety of tasks involved in the reproduction of letters, forms, manuals, booklets, newsletters, marketing materials, and other printed materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, adjust, and operate paper folding machines, stapling machines, collators, paper cutters, paper drills, pamphlet and bookbinding machines, and state-of-the-art digital reproduction equipment to develop printed materials as required and within the timeframe dictated by the needs of the Agency.
  • Deliver finished products to user departments and/or external customers.
  • Advise administrative superiors on the capacity and adaptability of machines and equipment.
  • Assist with the sales, production, and delivery of services, including printing, cutting, binding, editing, designing, and packaging.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise and ability to troubleshoot hardware and operating software, and maintain all equipment in the assigned area ensuring that it is in safe and proper working order.
  • Responsible for checking conformity, comparing artwork, proofing, product verification, Pantone, CMYK, and RGB color management, print positioning, making press adjustments or other pre-press functions to ensure files are print-ready and to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Consistently produce neat, accurate work with high attention to detail, and ensure that all Print Shop working areas, storage areas, supplies, and equipment are kept in clean and safe condition, and are organized in the most efficient manner.
  • Coordinate the procurement and maintain inventory and control of all paper stock and other supplies used in the reproduction process.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior experience in a print production or graphic reproduction setting is preferred.
