As a key member of our Configuration Management team, you will be responsible for performing Configuration Management activities related to the design, development, and production of complex systems in a defense environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Explain solutions, practices, and procedures to others in the organization according to procedure.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with functional personnel in Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Procurement and Manufacturing.

Requirements:

  • Experience using a database and good computer skills with MS Office suite to prepare appropriate metrics, reports and documents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Attention to detail, coupled with good time management and organization skills.
  • Sound interpersonal skills for interfacing and coordinating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
  • General knowledge of relevant configuration management and design engineering standards, manufacturing processes and documentation including military standards MIL-HDBK-61A, MIL-STD-31000, industry CM standard EIA-649, and/or Drawing standards ASME Y14.24 and ASME Y14.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM).
  • MS Excel advanced user knowledge of complex formulas.
  • Familiarity with CMMI requirements.
  • Ability to develop/demonstrate research and presentation skills.
  • Experience using Windchill to manage product data.

Education:

  • Typically, a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 4+ years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
