Senior Product Owner

A highly experienced professional responsible for the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the needs of the end users and provide value. Actively supports the business point of view and guides in assessing product opportunities and risks. Works in tandem with delivery teams to drive solutions on customer value effort considerations, deliver solutions that meet business requirements, and realize intended business value.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates dynamic partnerships with stakeholders, including clients, business associates, and development teams to effectively navigate evolving customer needs, and advocates for the client's perspective.
  • Works with internal and external customers to analyze the needs and align product vision, and product roadmap to strategic goals.
  • Leads and owns the product roadmap and sprint priorities.
  • Develops scope and defines backlog items (epics, features, user stories) that guide the agile development team.
  • Solves product-related problems, makes decisions, and completes trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments.
  • Drafts key objectives results, and strategies and applies the data for the product to make business decisions.
  • Ensures follow-up and reporting of KPIs.
  • Possesses a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders during the visioning and concept development of a product.
  • Accountable for the created product(s), delivering in the product model, and communicating the product needs with business partners.
  • Assesses value, develops use cases, and prioritizes stories, epics, and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value aligned with product strategy and maintains an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation.
  • Identifies and helps the client understand the business model, value, and value proposition.
  • Is an ambassador for the product internally and externally and is the primary contact for inquiries related to the products.
  • Develops appropriately detailed specifications for the product features, so they are clearly understood by the development teams - the what and why.
  • Works closely with senior management to create a product that fits the company portfolio.
  • Researches and analyzes the market, the users, and the roadmap for the product.
  • Increases an understanding of agile practices, lean startup, innovative technologies opportunities, and other latest trends.
  • Negotiates business priorities across multiple collaborator concerns, including technology priorities.
  • Collaborates with subject matter experts and development squad to define acceptance criteria.
  • Accepts completed work throughout the sprint.
  • Ensures customer and stakeholder acceptance of the product.
  • Attends team ceremonies.
Requirements:
  • Outstanding communication skills.

  • Thinks of the big picture, beyond the day-to-day activities; practices system thinking.
  • Comfortable presenting to and working with Executive in Business and Tech.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner role.

  • Director of e-commerce & DCE.
