Job Summary

Pace is seeking a highly skilled Field Support Technician to join our team. As a Field Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing assistance in collecting, testing, processing, and maintenance of field/environmental samples. This role requires knowledge of fundamental field/environmental support policies, programs, and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide field services using standard field/environmental support knowledge in the collection and review of conditions, including taking samples, completing test kits, and taking, documenting, and communicating results.
  • Pick up, transport, and deliver results, samples, documents, materials, and other items as needed.
  • Prepare vehicles or trucks for daily operations, including documents, kits, supplies, materials, safety, and related areas.
  • Review, complete, and process standard degrees of logs, documents, databases, and related materials and information.
  • Provide fundamental support in the application and assistance to staff and management regarding field/environmental support policies, programs, and practices.
  • Provide support researching issues and developing recommendations to resolve employee, management, and related customer issues.
  • Assist in the review and implementation of field/environmental support policies, practices, and programs to meet organizational, operations, and management needs.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations; receive guidance and direction or escalate when required.
  • Contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
  • Promote and support the overall mission of Pace by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; act in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; experience in related work is preferred; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • One year of experience in a lab or environmental setting is preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (Overtime and Weekends Possible)

Volunteer for weekend work will be required within a timely manner.
