Position Overview

The Krispy Kreme Customer Service Associate plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about providing a delightful experience while ensuring our doughnuts meet the highest standards of freshness and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently processes customer orders by retrieving items from various storage areas and serving beverages.
  • Handles challenging customer interactions with professionalism and grace.
  • Demonstrates effective selling techniques, including suggesting additional items and upselling product sizes.
  • Utilizes the point-of-sale system according to established protocols.
  • Operates retail equipment, such as coffee and beverage machines, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Manages cash transactions accurately, including processing credit card payments and providing change.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of doughnut displays.
  • Conducts cash drawer audits at the start and end of each shift.
  • Adheres to uniform standards, including maintaining a tidy appearance and wearing a name tag.
  • Follows product handling procedures as outlined in the training manual.
  • Employs proper cleaning methods to ensure a sanitary work environment.
  • Complies with health and safety regulations as mandated by health codes and third-party audits.
  • Collaborates effectively with team members to achieve operational goals.
  • Completes additional assigned tasks as needed.

Supervisory Duties

This role does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are required:

  • Comprehensive understanding of departmental standards relevant to the role.
  • Flexibility to work across various departments as needed.
  • Quick learning ability with a talent for teaching and executing tasks efficiently.
  • Possession of a valid health card in applicable states.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with at least three months of relevant experience or training.

Language Proficiency

Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence in English, as well as write basic communications. Capable of effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings.

Mathematical Skills

Competence in basic arithmetic operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

Reasoning Abilities

Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed instructions and address problems involving concrete variables.

Additional Requirements

Commitment to teamwork, maintaining a professional appearance, and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities. Candidates must be at least 18 years old.

Work Environment

This position involves exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, and moderate heat. The noise level is typically moderate.

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 10 pounds. Frequent use of hands for grasping and reaching is necessary.
