Job Opportunity

WellStone Inc is seeking empathetic individuals to serve as crisis counselors answering phone, chats, and texts. The 988 crisis line is a direct connection to compassionate, accessible care and support for anyone experiencing mental health-related distress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess caller risk of suicide via telephone.
  • Provide therapeutic de-escalation as needed via telephone.
  • Provide crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization services via telephone.
  • Develop appropriate crisis plans and refer callers to community resources.
  • Attend meetings and complete documentation in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in counseling, psychology, or related field.
  • Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
  • Strong desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • Proficient writing, documentation, and organizational skills.
