Position Overview: The Pediatric Critical Care Nurse Educator (CNE) is a vital role within the nursing education framework, focusing on the development and oversight of educational initiatives for nursing staff in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. This position is essential in ensuring that nursing personnel are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the delivery of clinical education, professional development, and competency training tailored to the needs of the Pediatric Critical Care nursing staff.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to assess educational needs and implement programs based on adult learning principles.
- Enhance nursing practice through the promotion of evidence-based methodologies and clinical inquiry.
- Develop and maintain educational materials and assessment tools that align with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Salary Range: $105,200 - $250,600
Qualifications:
Required:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a focus on Nursing Education or a related post-graduate certificate.
- A minimum of three years of recent experience in acute care settings.
- Expertise in creating and delivering clinical education and training programs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster collaborative relationships with nursing staff and leadership.
- Exceptional organizational and project management abilities to oversee educational initiatives from conception to execution.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication, capable of conveying complex clinical information clearly.
- In-depth knowledge of nursing practices and specialized clinical areas.
- Experience in conducting evidence-based research and data analysis.
- Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address urgent clinical challenges effectively.
Preferred:
- Certification in a relevant specialty area.
