Job Opportunity

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year.

Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified educator to work in a self-contained life skills classroom with small class sizes. The ideal candidate will have a valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification and experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the varying learning capabilities of students.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and technologies to engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and other specialists to support student learning and development.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Valid Massachusetts Special Education Teaching License or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
