As a Healthcare Support Professional, you will gain valuable experience in patient care, teamwork, and communication while working alongside a dedicated team of professionals.

This program is perfect for nursing students who have completed at least one nursing clinical and are currently enrolled in a BSN or ADN program. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop essential skills in patient care, teamwork, and communication
  • Prioritize your education by gaining clinical experience while still in school
  • Gain a competitive edge in the job market with our priority consideration for Graduate Nursing programs

Responsibilities include:

  • Working a minimum of 12 hours in a two-week period (4-hour, 8-hour, or 12-hour shifts)
  • Providing routine tasks and direct patient care to support patients and clinical teams
  • Performing phlebotomy and 12-lead EKGs as permitted on the assigned unit
  • Removing urinary catheters and saline locks
  • Answering call lights and unit phone to assist with questions and concerns from patients and family members
  • Communicating, monitoring, and documenting pertinent patient information
  • Assisting with admission, transfers, transporting, lifting, and discharge of patients
  • Performing hourly rounding and responding promptly to patients, families, and clinical team requests
  • Working effectively and collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment
  • Assisting in organization, cleaning, and safety of the unit and patient rooms

The estimated salary range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50 per hour. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
