About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Cardiovascular Operating Room at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital in Madison.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, ensuring a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate and meet the needs of patients and surgeons during procedures.
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment and instrumentation, adhering to infection control and sterilization protocols.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, prioritizing their comfort and well-being throughout the surgical process.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical technology.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or certification in surgical technology preferred.
  • At least six months of experience in a surgical specialty or two years of surgical technician experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
