Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor - Operations Leader

As a Maintenance Supervisor - Operations Leader, you will play a critical role in championing a culture of empowerment and learning, guiding teams to optimize performance through coaching, communication, and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet with departments to discuss weekly production schedules and generate maintenance shift schedules based on team meetings, line inspections, preventive maintenance requirements, work orders, and available resources.
  • Manage contractor work as required and assigned, maintaining detailed records of completed repairs, rebuilds, and line inspections.
  • Assess, train, mentor, and motivate direct reports, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.
  • Communicate performance standards and expectations to employees, recognizing and rewarding individual and team accomplishments and counseling performance problems.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to perform root cause analysis of machine downtime and recommend changes.
  • Utilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to assess progress against objectives and conduct PM and work order audits.
  • Train subordinates as needed in CMMS and coordinate major maintenance and capital projects as they occur across shifts.
  • Maintain plant facilities and grounds in accordance with relevant regulations, company, and regulatory standards, and fiscal considerations.
  • Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to maintenance and safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest manufacturing technologies, systems, and engineering concepts to continually improve plant performance.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) is required.
  • Knowledge of equipment setup, functions, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
  • Ability to read instructions, maintenance manuals, drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience working in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions to complete machine rebuilds and repairs.
  • Ability to complete forms detailing maintenance work performed.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance software is preferred.
