Job Title: MRI Technologist

Millennium Physician Group is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Imaging Team in the Port Charlotte, FL area.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a positive, energetic, and detail-oriented individual who is proficient in operating MRI equipment and providing excellent patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing radiologic exams, maintaining quality control records, and ensuring the safety of patients and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiologic exams according to protocols and procedures
  • Optimize the use of the MRI room to accommodate all scheduled and walk-in patients
  • Answer patient questions before, during, and after procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the MRI room and equipment
  • Verify patient identities and initials RX on all patients
  • Order and maintain supplies for the MR room and other areas
  • Obtain patient reports through ERAD PACS and send images for radiologist review
  • Monitor patient studies and information in ERAD for accuracy and consistency
  • Call referring physician offices for RX when needed
  • Assist other modalities with proficiency when needed
  • Adhere to ACR guidelines and adjust technical factors to enhance images
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or accredited radiologic school
  • 6-12 months of related experience and/or training (preferred)
  • Active State of Florida Radiologic Technology, BLS, National Registration RT(R), RT(MR) or exam pass within 1 year of start of employment
