About the Role

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging services to patients in a safe and respectful manner.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and maintain a strong knowledge of MRI and associated equipment to ensure optimal film quality
  • Facilitate MRI procedures by selecting proper technical factors and techniques to accommodate all patients
  • Prepare, transfer, and position patients as needed, ensuring modesty and safety
  • Document all pertinent clinical information prior to the exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time
  • Maintain proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist
  • Check the operation of equipment, maintain cleanliness of the table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keep the room stocked with necessary supplies
  • Accept on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or State Registered Radiologic Technician, or Associate Degree, or Vocational School Graduate
