Job Description:

The Clinical Supervisor plays a pivotal role in the daily operations of the department, collaborating with nursing staff to achieve high-quality patient care. As a key member of the nursing leadership team, this individual will support the organization's mission, vision, and values, while assuming clinical leadership for the department. The Clinical Supervisor will interpret and translate the care model into daily nursing practice, utilizing information systems and resources effectively to drive quality outcomes.

This role requires strong advocacy skills, with a focus on staff support and process facilitation. The Clinical Supervisor will also advocate for effective, safe, and high-quality care for patients on the unit, promoting shared decision-making and collaboration with the unit council. A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required, with a Master's Degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of healthcare experience in medical acute care nursing, as well as experience as a Charge Nurse or Team Leader. Specialty care experience and progressive leadership experience are also highly valued.

Certifications and Licensures:

  • BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
  • Specialty Certifications - ANCC American Nurses Credentialing Center - Required within 2 years of hire

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Work Environment:

This role is exempt from overtime and requires a 12-hour night shift schedule. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
