Physician - Advanced Wound Care Specialist

Estimated Salary: $150,000 - $250,000 per year, based on experience and location.
Job Description:
As an Advanced Wound Care Specialist with AmeriWound, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive wound care services to patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities.
Your primary duties will include:
- Diagnosing and treating patients with complex wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, and venous ulcers.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients, including debridement, dressing changes, and wound care education.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, and pharmacists, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Providing wound care education to patients and families, including instructions on wound care techniques, dressing changes, and medication management.
- Conducting regular follow-up visits to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A medical degree (MD or DO) and board certification in a relevant specialty.
- Active, unrestricted medical licensure in the state where you'll be working.
- DEA licensure and a valid driver's license.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs) and wound care software.
