Job Overview

The Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the General Manager in overseeing the entire store's operations. This includes meeting performance and profit goals, selecting, developing, and training associates, and managing safety processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily task assignments and performance for management and associates.
  • Ensure exceptional customer experiences by responding to complaints, soliciting feedback, and creating plans to meet customer expectations.
  • Manage associate matters, including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, engagement, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate training programs and execute established safety, security, quality, and store operations policies.
  • Analyze results and trends, preparing action plans to leverage strengths and address areas of opportunity.
  • Plan and prepare work schedules, coordinating daily assignments and activities to meet business needs.
Management-Essential Duties
  • Supervise daily task assignments and manage performance of Customer Service Associates, including recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, managing performance, and administering progressive discipline.
  • Oversee completion of duties by hourly store management associates.
  • Ensure proper training and training compliance of all hourly associates.
  • Oversee cash management procedures, monitoring and analyzing reports related to Loss Prevention, and reporting trends to the General Manager.
  • Ensure accurate stock levels by performing cycle counts and monitoring product and supply ordering.
  • Control inventory levels by checking in external vendors and ensuring accurate delivery.
  • Ensure execution of established security, quality, and store operations policies.
  • Analyze results and trends from audits, taking appropriate action to resolve issues.
  • Value store associates through celebration and recognition.
  • Ensure 24/7 execution of customer service programs and processes.
  • Communicate with the store manager regarding customer service issues and concerns.
  • Ensure a pleasant dining experience for all customers, responding to complaints or inquiries, and soliciting customer feedback and input.
