We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our Emergency Department team in a Night Shift role. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who want to make a difference in people's lives while working collaboratively with our talented healthcare professionals.
About the Role
As a Paramedic in our Emergency Department, you will play a vital part in delivering quality patient care and support medical staff in providing excellent services. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients, performing various clinical tasks, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. You will also have opportunities to develop your skills and knowledge through ongoing education and training programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Patients: Engage with patients in a respectful and empathetic manner, taking into account their individual needs and preferences.
- Clinical Tasks: Perform various clinical duties under the supervision of a registered nurse, including inserting IVs, administering medication, and operating equipment safely.
- Patient Safety: Maintain a safe patient care environment by adhering to hospital policies and procedures, communicating effectively with colleagues, and reporting any concerns or issues promptly.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing education and training programs to enhance your skills and knowledge, and contribute to a culture of excellence within our department.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current Paramedic Certificate and Ohio EMT-P certification
- Awareness and Operations HazMat Training preferred
- CPI Training preferred
- BLS (American Heart Association) at time of hire
- ACLS (American Heart Association) before end of Department Orientation
- PALS (American Heart Association) within 6 months of hire
- NRP (American Academy of Pediatrics) within 1 year of hire
- Awareness and Operations HazMat Training required within one year of hire and annually
- Completion of mandatory annual education training for unit-specific, hospital, and safety
This is a night shift position offering a competitive salary and benefits package. We estimate the annual salary for this role to be around $62,000 - $82,000, based on experience and location. Please note that salaries may vary depending on individual circumstances.
