Position Overview

The primary role of the Credit Risk Officer at Natixis Corporate & Investment Banking involves a thorough examination and evaluation of various proposals from the Global Structured Credit and Solutions (GSCS) division, specifically from a credit risk standpoint. These proposals may encompass CLO warehouse/lending facilities, capital call facilities, and ABS warehouse/lending facilities, among others.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive credit evaluations and risk assessments, focusing on structured credit and securitized product proposals.
  • Engage in due diligence discussions or site visits as necessary, representing the bank professionally to clients.
  • Draft detailed risk assessments and analyses, effectively articulating the rationale behind the risk evaluations.
  • Collaborate with bankers and originators to ensure timely closings while maintaining high standards of credit analysis.
  • Review transaction documentation and critically assess Front Office analyses when warranted.
  • Present findings to senior management and credit committees.
  • Monitor the existing GSCS portfolio and ensure compliance with covenants, identifying early warning signs of credit risk deterioration.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and macroeconomic factors that may influence the portfolio, recommending appropriate actions for specific clients or client groups.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Graduate degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management, particularly in analyzing structured products and securitizations.
  • Experience with various financial institutions and entities (e.g., banks, private equity funds, hedge funds, regulated funds, insurance companies, and broker/dealers) is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with credit risk monitoring systems and methodologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically and consider various hypothetical scenarios.

Compensation

The salary range for the Director-level position is between $190,000 - $225,000, while the ED-level position ranges from $230,000 - $280,000. Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including relevant experience, education, skill set, and organizational needs. In addition to base salary, Natixis offers a comprehensive benefits package and may provide discretionary incentive awards based on individual and company performance.
