Job Title: Manufacturing Department Supervisor

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Department Supervisor to join our team at Bard Manufacturing Company. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising hourly production employees and ensuring the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations and leadership, with experience in supervising hourly workers and implementing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

The Manufacturing Department Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and coordinating activities of hourly workers
  • Observing operations and ensuring worker compliance with prescribed methods and procedures
  • Administering progressive discipline when necessary
  • Documenting potential situations/discussions that could lead to disciplinary action of workers
  • Administering and upholding the integrity of the collective bargaining agreement
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess:

  • A High School diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years related supervisory experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role
  • Familiarity with various functional areas such as fabrication, welding, assembly, shipping, etc.
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic Computer Skills - Word, Excel, AS400
  • Ability to read blueprints
