Job Summary

The Special Procedures Registered Nurse is a key member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures in Endoscopy and the Special Procedures unit.

Responsibilities
  • Collect specimens for testing and assist physicians during procedures.
  • Maintain and stock the Special Procedures area, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Provide relevant and complete documentation on patient-related activity, ensuring accurate and timely records.
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, medications, and follow-up home care, promoting patient understanding and empowerment.
  • Stay current with available training and literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures.
Qualifications
  • A Registered Nurse license in a compact state as defined by the NH Board of Nursing is required.
  • Minimum one year medical/surgical nursing experience.
  • Phlebotomy training is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of underlying principles and standards for CDC, CMS, and other relevant entities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
