About the Role

Portsmouth Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled RN Special Procedures Nurse to join our team. As a member of our Endoscopy and Special Procedures unit, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and process specimens for testing, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Assist physicians during procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient environment.
  • Manage and stock the Special Procedures area, ensuring it is well-equipped and organized.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting understanding and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Document patient-related activities, maintaining accurate and complete records.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest training and literature, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Requirements
  • A Registered Nurse license in a compact state, as defined by the NH Board of Nursing.
  • Minimum one year of medical/surgical nursing experience.
  • Phlebotomy training and working knowledge of CDC and CMS standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
