Job Summary

The Special Procedures Registered Nurse is a key member of our healthcare team, providing direct care to patients undergoing treatments and procedures in Endoscopy and the Special Procedures unit.

Responsibilities
  • Collect and process specimens for testing.
  • Assist physicians during procedures, maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Ensure the Special Procedures area is well-stocked and maintained, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Serve as a resource for Surgical Scheduling, providing expert guidance on bookings and procedures.
  • Document patient-related activities accurately and thoroughly, adhering to established protocols and standards.
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, medications, and follow-up home care, fostering a culture of patient-centered care.
  • Stay current with available training and literature to ensure quality patient care in Special Procedures.
Qualifications
  • A Registered Nurse license in a compact state as defined by the NH Board of Nursing is required.
  • Minimum one year of medical/surgical nursing experience.
  • Phlebotomy training is a must.
  • Working knowledge of underlying principles and standards for CDC, CMS, and other relevant entities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress work environment.
