Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Risk Marketing Specialist to join our team at USI Insurance Services. As a key member of our insurance brokerage and consulting firm, you will be responsible for evaluating and placing new business and existing Premier accounts over $1,000 in revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze insurance submissions for new and renewal business, including coverage, limits, deductibles, retentions, and classifications.
  • Market new and renewal submissions to carriers, including application preparation and loss analysis.
  • Analyze and compare carrier quotes for proper coverages, terms, and conditions.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing and terms with carriers on behalf of clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with insurance company underwriters and brokers.
  • Respond to underwriters' inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare new business proposals to assist with sales efforts of Personal Risk Specialists, including program recommendations and presentation documents.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy in agency management and document management systems.
  • Collaborate with Personal Risk Specialist and Client Advisors to ensure marketing expectations are met and agency procedures are followed.
  • Stay current on industry and new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Personal Risk Property & Casualty insurance.
  • High School Graduate; College degree preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of all Property & Casualty insurance coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts, including underwriting knowledge of the affluent/HNW carrier markets.
  • Must hold or be willing to earn a Property & Casualty insurance license.
  • Industry designation such as ARM, CIC, CPCU preferred, or intent to pursue a designation.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables.
  • Comfortable with internet-based programs and navigating carrier marketing websites.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with minimal instruction.
  • Set priorities and manage workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions.
