This facility provides urgent and acute care for state employee insurance members and their dependents aged 12 and older. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments while gathering relevant assessment data.
  • Contribute as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team, providing insights for care decisions.
  • Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, immunizations, health screenings, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Document all patient care activities and adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Communicate test results to patients as directed by the primary care provider.
  • Coordinate medical care with other providers for referred patients.
  • Maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
  • Address routine inquiries and challenges, escalating complex issues as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
Level I: Associate's degree or equivalent in a relevant technical or scientific field.
Level II: Associate's degree or equivalent plus two years of relevant nursing experience.
Level III: Associate's degree or equivalent and a valid Registered Nurse license.

Substitutions for Experience:
Additional relevant education may substitute for experience at a rate of one year of education for each year of required experience.

Minimum Skills, Licenses, and Certifications:
  • Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Capability to apply knowledge to patient scenarios.
Technology Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Familiarity with common healthcare software.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid Alabama Nursing License.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Previous management experience.
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records.
  • Background in nursing practices.
  • Experience in clinical or general medical settings.
  • Familiarity with Allscripts/Veradigm.
  • Experience in phlebotomy.
