Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, gathering both objective and subjective assessment data.
- Contribute as an active member of the interdisciplinary care team, providing insights for care decisions.
- Deliver direct patient care, including medication administration, immunizations, health screenings, and vital signs monitoring.
- Document patient care accurately and adhere to all regulatory standards.
- Communicate test results to patients under the guidance of the primary care provider.
- Coordinate medical care with other healthcare providers for referred patients.
- Maintain clinical supplies and equipment effectively.
- Address routine inquiries and challenges, escalating complex issues as necessary.
Education and Experience:
Level I: Associate's degree or equivalent in a relevant technical or scientific field.
Level II: Associate's degree or equivalent plus 2 years of relevant nursing experience.
Level III: Associate's degree or equivalent in a relevant field and must possess a valid Registered Nurse license.
Substitutions for Experience:
Additional relevant education may substitute for experience at a rate of one year of education for one year of required experience.
Minimum Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of nursing practices, processes, and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to apply nursing knowledge to patient care situations.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Familiarity with common healthcare software applications.
Valid Alabama Nursing License is required.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous management experience.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records.
- Background in nursing practices.
- Experience in clinical or general medical settings.
- Familiarity with Allscripts/Veradigm.
- Experience in phlebotomy.
