Become a vital member of Sentara Healthcare as a Nursing Care Partner/Patient Care Technician within our Regional Resource Pool.

Position Overview:

  • This is a flexible role with varying shift hours.
  • Essential Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
    • Completion of an accredited healthcare training program or relevant experience
  • Must reside within a 75-mile radius of designated facilities
  • Willingness to work on a PRN basis (minimum of 48 hours monthly)
  • Self-scheduling role covering multiple healthcare facilities in the designated region

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of nursing care under the guidance of a licensed nurse
  • Support patient care activities, including admissions and discharges, while adhering to safety protocols
  • Monitor and communicate patients' conditions to nursing staff

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) Certification
