Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our enterprise IT program, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying custom applications, scripts, and solutions in support of high-priority intelligence issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create custom tool sets, software, and data extract, transform, and load solutions for various datasets.
  • Deliver solutions via various infrastructure configurations, including cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Develop innovative user interface designs in response to analyst, user, and business needs.
  • Support and create databases to connect to applications, as necessary.
  • Ensure user interface guidelines and standards are followed during development and maintenance.
  • Present design concepts and negotiate with stakeholders to arrive at a design that supports both business needs and user experience.
  • Conduct and participate in product usability tests.
  • Communicate and work effectively with cross-functional team members, including analysts, data scientists, management, project managers, and software solutions integrators.
  • Maintain existing applications or developed applications per required enterprise or local requirements.
  • Create and/or maintain documentation on technical solutions, including architecture diagrams, user guides, and APIs.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with setting up and maintaining Cloud-based DevOps functionality.
  • Demonstrated experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, or similar development languages and associated frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience working with data in, and developing applications with, SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrated experience documenting system design and architecture.
  • Demonstrated strong coordination and collaboration skills with ability to work successfully across organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated experience with performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and de-bugging applications and services.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, deploying, and maintaining containerized applications and databases.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience with the client's deployment of AWS and experience deploying applications within the client's environment.
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile software development cycle.
  • Demonstrated experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrated experience with geospatial data, visualization, and relevant analytic methods and tools.
  • Demonstrated experience manipulating large datasets.
  • Demonstrated experience with open source data engineering tools and processes.
