Registered Nurse Surgical Ortho Trauma Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse Surgical Ortho Trauma to join our team at Del Sol Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse Surgical Ortho Trauma, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver quality healthcare.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record.
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in Texas
- BCLS certified
- ACLS certified (must be completed within 6 months of hire date)
- Bachelors in Nursing Science (preferred)
- Associates degree or Diploma in Nursing
- 2 years of Medical Nursing or Orthopedic Nursing experience (preferred)
- Medical Surgical ANCC Certification or ANCC Orthopedic Nurse Certification (preferred)
