Position Summary: This entry-level clinical role focuses on addiction recovery. Responsibilities include overseeing clients struggling with addiction, ensuring the delivery of program services in a safe and therapeutic environment, and adhering to relevant regulatory and accreditation standards. You will provide direct counseling services, including individual and group sessions, and engage in educational activities. This position offers valuable experience in the substance abuse sector and opportunities for professional development, including obtaining the Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED, with at least one year of experience in addiction treatment or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to work hours set by the Supervisor, including any additional hours as necessary.
  • Act as a role model for clients and staff, fostering positive interactions.
  • Oversee client behavior and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Coordinate recreational activities for patients.
  • Monitor client progress by collaborating with primary counselors to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient service records in compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and present educational lectures as scheduled.
  • Observe and document group dynamics.
  • Facilitate group discussions focused on recovery.
  • Consult with treatment team members to plan therapeutic activities for the shift.
  • Review logs and gather essential information from previous shifts.

Employment Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)

Compensation: Based on education, experience, and credentials

  • Starting Pay:
    • $18.43/hr – High School/GED
    • $19.37/hr - Associate's Degree
    • $20.25/hr – Bachelor's Degree
    • Additional $.50/hr with CADC certification

Shift Differentials: Additional compensation based on scheduled shift hours

  • Second shift (majority of hours between 3pm and 11pm): $.25/hr
  • Third shift (majority of hours between 11pm and 7am): $.50/hr

Work Schedule: 10-hour shifts

  • 2nd shift, 1:00pm – 11:00pm
  • Friday & Saturday
