Role Purpose: This entry-level clinical role focuses on supporting individuals dealing with addiction. Responsibilities include overseeing clients in a therapeutic setting, ensuring ethical and legal compliance while providing a safe environment. You will deliver direct counseling services such as individual sessions, case management, group discussions, and educational lectures. Collaborate with a team to provide comprehensive addiction treatment services to clients and their families, helping them integrate recovery into their daily lives. This position offers valuable experience in the substance abuse sector, with opportunities for professional development through certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED with at least one year of experience in addiction treatment or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to work hours as determined by the Supervisor, including any necessary additional hours.
  • Act as a role model for clients and staff, fostering positive relationships.
  • Supervise client behavior and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Organize and oversee recreational activities for patients.
  • Monitor patient progress by collaborating with primary counselors to develop and execute individualized treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient service records in compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare and deliver all scheduled educational lectures for clients.
  • Observe and document group interactions.
  • Facilitate focused group discussions.
  • Consult with treatment team members to establish daily therapeutic goals.
  • Review logs and gather relevant information from previous shifts and staff.

Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)

Compensation: Based on qualifications, experience, and credentials

  • Starting Pay:
    • $18.43/hr – High School/GED
    • $19.37/hr - Associate's Degree
    • $20.25/hr – Bachelor's Degree
    • Additional $.50/hr with CADC certification

Shift Differentials: Additional compensation based on shift hours

  • Second shift (majority of hours between 3pm and 11pm): $.25/hr
  • Third shift (majority of hours between 11pm and 7am): $.50/hr
