Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Sensor Power and Analog Design (SPAD) Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power system design, power conversion, power distribution, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop proven designs based on system performance and operational requirements
  • Analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion (and related analog) circuitry
  • Work closely with a team of engineers to develop and implement digital power conversion concepts and best practices
  • Resolve production issues related to existing product designs
  • Present reviews of technical data to program leadership, technical staff, and customer community
  • Manage related risk discussions
  • Lead small teams to success with schedule, budget, and technical execution
  • Engage in personal technical growth and facilitate technical growth in peers and junior engineers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
  • 8+ years of experience in power system design, power conversion, power distribution, power sub-system design, and/or control systems
  • Experience in modeling and simulation using PSPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar computer-based tools
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
  • Hardware development experience in the Department of Defense (DoD) environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/manage a technical team
  • Experience generating technical documentation and reports
  • Knowledge of test and production methods for electronics/power system components
  • Experience interfacing with procurement and manufacturing as well as external suppliers to ensure proper implementation of product designs
  • Experience interfacing with DoD customer community
  • Existing security clearance
